I’ve long been meaning to undertake a month-long low tech experiment. Depending on when in the year I was planning to start, I’ve thought about Manual March/May, Analogue April1/August, Slow September… you get the idea. It hasn’t come to fruition yet, but maybe this year will be different.
[...]Huge, huge shoutout to Ingmar Steen for creating rockbase just yesterday. It’s a super fast tool (in Rust) for building a Rockbox db on your computer, instead of waiting for your music player to slowly creep through its filesystem with its tiny little CPU.
If someone else said this, I’d call it audiophile nonsense, but I’ve been listening to music on my 5th gen iPod with the SD card mod, and it just sounds better than my phone.
I call this a bit, because horses. It’s like a tweet!
On Diaries
I’m a sporadic diary-keeper at best. When I feel a certain level of anguish, I find myself drawn to notebooks and pens. My scrawl is indecipherable – immediately, to others (which I suppose is a type of privacy measure), but also mere days later to myself.
